Ahmet Yasin M., a British national who arrived in Istanbul from England 3 days ago, killed his 26-year-old wife, Ayan Mohamed Dhoba, with a screwdriver after an argument at their hotel.

The incident occurred today at around 12:30 PM at a hotel located in the Mevlanakapı neighborhood of Fatih. According to allegations, hotel staff went to room 111 after hearing noises coming from inside. They found the female guest murdered and covered in blood.
HORROR WITH A SCREWDRIVER
The incident was immediately reported to the police. Police teams arriving at the scene identified the victim as British national Ayan Mohamed Dhoba. Investigations revealed that the young woman, who had cut marks on her throat and many parts of her body, had been killed with a screwdriver. A search was launched for her husband, Ahmet Yasin M., who was missing in connection with the incident, in which 41 separate cut marks were found on the victim's body.
CAUGHT WITH A BLOODY T-SHIRT
Teams from the Fatih District Police Department launched an operation to apprehend the suspect who had fled the scene. During the efforts, the suspect, Ahmet Yasin M., was captured. When caught, it was observed that the white t-shirt he was wearing was bloody. The suspect, who confessed to the murder, stated that he had thrown the screwdriver into the toilet in the room. A search of the toilet mentioned by the suspect led to the discovery of the murder weapon, the screwdriver. The police seized the screwdriver and the suspect's bloody t-shirt. Investigations determined that the British couple had arrived in Istanbul from England 3 days ago. It was established that the couple, who arrived in Istanbul 3 days ago, had checked into the hotel in Fatih where the incident took place on the same day.
HE CONFESSED
The suspect, who confessed to the murder, claimed that on the day of the incident, his wife had given him drugs and that an argument subsequently broke out between them. He recounted that following this argument, he killed his wife by stabbing her repeatedly with a screwdriver he had grabbed. He stated that he fled the scene after throwing the screwdriver into the toilet. A multi-faceted investigation into the incident is ongoing.
