Stating that he ended his journey on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, Etemoğlu said, "I am happy because I want to say that walking from Paris to Istanbul was a long and meaningful childhood dream of mine. I am proud to have completed this journey on October 29, 2023, the 100th anniversary of our Republic. I would like to thank everyone who was with me on this magnificent adventure. The chief architect of this adventure was my mother, who lost her life to COVID. We live in a world where division and conflict prevail. As a nation, we have always been in favor of peace and cooperation. We must continue to fight for peace, and we will continue to do so. My journey started in Paris. I traveled through 11 countries and arrived in Turkey, the land where I was born. Therefore, I am very happy; I lost 17 kilos during this time. I will go to my family, and tomorrow I will visit my mother's grave. I am very happy, and I thank everyone who supported me very much."
