In the Kartepe district of Kocaeli, a man accidentally wounded his partner's son while cleaning his pistol at their workplace. An investigation into the incident has been launched.

In the Kartepe district of Kocaeli, a pistol being cleaned by E.K. at his workplace accidentally discharged. The bullet from the gun struck Y.İ.H. (20), the son of E.K.'s business partner.
Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The young man, who was wounded in the left groin area, was taken to the hospital after receiving initial intervention from medical teams.
E.K. was taken into custody by police teams.
It was reported that Y.İ.H. is not in life-threatening condition and that his family did not file a complaint against E.K. because the incident occurred accidentally.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
