In Adana, Azim G., who worked for a cargo company, stole 33 mobile phones that he was supposed to deliver to a store and sold 28 of them. It was revealed that Azim G., who was caught at his home with 5 stolen phones, had used the 400 thousand liras he obtained to buy a car as a gift for his girlfriend.

A cargo worker who stole 33 mobile phones he was supposed to deliver to a store, sold 28 of them, and used the 400 thousand liras he obtained to buy a car for his girlfriend has been arrested in Adana.

The situation was reported to the police after 33 mobile phones in 3 parcels, which were supposed to be delivered to an electronics store by a cargo company in the city, were stolen.

Following this, teams from the Public Security Branch Directorate's Theft and Pickpocketing Bureau launched an investigation into the incident. The teams determined that Azim G. (21), one of the cargo company employees, had stolen the phones he was supposed to deliver to the store.

Subsequently, the suspect Azim G. was taken into custody by police teams at his home in the central Sarıçam district. During searches at the house, the teams also recovered 5 of the stolen phones.

It was determined that the suspect had sold 28 of the phones for 400 thousand liras and used the money to buy a car, which he gifted to his girlfriend İ.D. (19). A precautionary measure was also implemented to prevent the sale of the car, which was purchased with proceeds from the crime.

After his procedures at the police station, the suspect Azim G. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the duty magistrate. The suspect's act of carrying the parcels containing the mobile phones with the help of a pallet truck was recorded by security cameras.
