A secret recording made with cameras hidden inside power sockets in an apartment in Denizli has revealed a major scandal. The statements of the detained apartment owner, Murat Filiz, have emerged.

M.A., who was staying in the basement of an apartment building on 6423 Street in the Yunus Emre neighborhood of the Pamukkale district, noticed light leaking from a power strip on the wall. Suspicious, M.A. removed the socket cover and found a camera hidden inside. M.A. recorded the device, which was positioned to view the bed and bathroom, with a mobile phone and immediately went to the police station to file a complaint.
CAMERAS FOUND IN THREE MORE APARTMENTS
In the investigation launched by police teams, hidden cameras placed inside power sockets were also detected in three different apartment units owned by Murat Filiz, which were rented out on an hourly or daily basis. During the investigation, numerous intimate images of many people were found on the memory cards of the cameras located in Filiz's apartments.
FILIZ'S STATEMENTS HAVE EMERGED
During his interrogation at the police station, Murat Filiz said that he had installed the cameras for "fantasy purposes" and that he was ashamed of what had happened. The police determined that Filiz had connected the cameras to his mobile phone via an internet connection, allowing him to watch the recordings live while also saving them.
NUMBER OF COMPLAINANTS INCREASING
Following the revelation of the scandal, four more people who had previously stayed in the apartments and suspected they might have been recorded applied to the police to file complaints. Thus, the number of victims has risen to five for now.
The investigation into the incident is being continued by the Denizli Provincial Police Department's Public Security Branch and the Homicide Bureau.
