He stabbed his wife after leaving their divorce hearing

Violence against women continues to escalate across Turkey. D.K. and V.K., who are in the process of getting a divorce, attended a hearing at the Kahramanmaraş Courthouse in the morning. As D.K. left the courthouse after the hearing was adjourned and attempted to cross the street, her husband, V.K., approached her. During the ensuing argument, V.K. attacked D.K. with a knife in front of their child. D.K., who was severely wounded by multiple stab wounds to her body, collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, while V.K. fled the scene.

Upon notification, medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. D.K., who received initial treatment at the scene, was taken to the hospital by ambulance, where she remains under care. While it was stated that D.K.'s health condition remains critical, V.K., who fled after the incident, was apprehended and taken into custody by the police.
