A lawsuit has been filed requesting 2 counts of aggravated life imprisonment for a defendant arrested for stabbing his wife and 16-year-old son to death in a house in the Çukurova district of Adana.

The investigation conducted by the prosecutor's office into Cem Suna (48), who was arrested on September 4, 2023, for stabbing his wife Deniz Suna (43) and his son Alperen Suna (16) to death on August 19, 2023, has been completed.
In the indictment accepted by the Adana 12th High Criminal Court, it was stated that Cem Suna killed his wife Deniz Suna and his son Alperen Suna with a knife following an argument for an unknown reason on the day of the incident.

Although the defendant did not accept the charges, the indictment stated that no strangers entered the apartment building on the date of the incident, no fingerprints or DNA traces belonging to anyone else were found at the scene, and that Cem Suna acted with the intent to kill his wife and son. The indictment requested that the defendant be sentenced to 2 counts of aggravated life imprisonment for the crimes of "intentional killing of a spouse" and "intentional killing of a descendant relative."
The trial of the detained defendant, who denies the charges, will begin in the coming days.
