An elderly citizen who fell ill during prayer at the Hz. Musa Mosque in the Barbaros neighborhood of Adana's Seyhan district was brought back to life thanks to the intervention of the mosque's imam.

70-year-old Hüseyin Özgün, who had come to the mosque to worship, suddenly collapsed during prayer. Noticing the situation, Imam Hasan Demir quickly went to Özgün's side and provided the first intervention. The imam, who realized the elderly man was not breathing, performed CPR and managed to restore his breathing shortly after.

It was stated that Hüseyin Özgün, who was taken to the hospital after medical teams arrived at the scene, is in good health.

Describing what happened, Imam Hasan Demir said, "Our uncle Hüseyin is a man who comes to our mosque once a week to pray and then leaves. He performed 2 rakats of prayer before the adhan was called. Then, as he stood up to pray again, he suddenly fell to the ground. We ran to his side and realized that our uncle Hüseyin was not breathing. I decided to perform CPR. I started performing CPR for 35-40 seconds. Then our uncle Hüseyin started breathing again. He was taken to the hospital yesterday, and we learned that his condition is good."
