The 'Welcome Spring' concert was organized by the Nazilli Municipality Lütfi Selek Turkish Classical Music Choir at the Mehmet Yüzügüler Culture Center last night. The choir, which concluded the concert around 23:00, began to perform a song in memory of artist Volkan Konak, who had fallen ill and passed away during his concert in the TRNC.
RESUSCITATED WITH CPR
In the Nazilli district of Aydın, the heart of Mehmet Gündoğdu, who was a member of the choir, stopped suddenly while he was singing a song by Volkan Konak, whom he was a fan of. Gündoğdu was resuscitated through CPR performed by Dr. Şükrü Yenice, who is also a chorister in the group.
Gündoğdu was taken to Nazilli State Hospital by ambulance. After receiving the necessary medical interventions at the hospital, Gündoğdu was discharged following a period of observation.
It was learned that Mehmet Gündoğdu, a retiree from the Nazilli Sümerbank Factory who has served as a chorister, soloist, and member of the instrumental ensemble in the Nazilli Municipality Lütfi Selek Turkish Classical Music Choir for many years, was a fan of Volkan Konak.
