Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announces permanent solution to appointment issues!

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, regarding the solution to the problems experienced in the Central Physician Appointment System, stated, "In the coming days, we will gradually implement measures and permanently resolve the appointment issue."

In his statement on social media, Minister Koca reported that the efforts to eliminate difficulties in finding appointments are yielding positive results, and expressed that they are producing solutions that will ensure the satisfaction of both citizens and physicians.

Koca noted the following:

"First of all, we will open up our unused capacity, which stems from appointments that are not cancelled, to the use of our other citizens. In this context, citizens who do not cancel an appointment they cannot attend will not be able to book an appointment for the same specialty within 15 days upon the first occurrence. Similarly, if they do not show up for their appointment a second time, they will not be able to book appointments for any specialty within 15 days. To prevent idle capacity due to last-minute cancellations, we are limiting the appointment cancellation period to no later than 23:59 on the previous day. Instead of cancelled appointments, we will be able to provide new appointments up to 1 hour before the examination time. Thus, we will ensure that more of our patients can book appointments and that capacity is used efficiently."
