Health Minister Memişoğlu visits the first babies of the new year in Istanbul: 'Likely to become an artist'

Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu and Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, at the Sarıyer branch of the Şişli Etfal Hospital Çayırbaşı Annex Building, where the first babies of 2026 were born.

Before visiting the families, Memişoğlu greeted the hospital staff one by one, celebrated their new year, and received information from the doctors about the newborns. Afterward, Memişoğlu visited the families, held the babies, and congratulated the mothers.

Among the babies born was a baby named Arya, who weighed 3 kilograms and 895 grams. Mother Aysel Kızıltaş held her baby in her arms in the first minutes of the new year. Minister Memişoğlu, who visited the family, also received information about the baby's health. Memişoğlu said, "What a beautiful name you have chosen; may God bring her together with good generations. I congratulate you."

Afterward, Memişoğlu held the baby and said, "May God bring you together with good people. May her life always be good and happy. What a beautiful girl, mashallah, an artist."She will likely be an artist. The first princess of 2026," he said.

The baby named Hümeyraalso visited

Minister Memişoğlu also visited Hümeyra, one of the first babies of the new year, at the same hospitaland her family. Holding the baby, the Minister conveyed hisbest wishes to the family,starting with health. Memişoğlu, who also received information about the mother'shealth status, chatted with the family.
