Heavy rainfall causes floods and inundation in Antalya: Education suspended in 5 districts
Intense rainfall, which intensified during the night in Antalya, caused flooding in many areas. Due to the severe weather, education has been suspended for 1 day in 5 central districts.

The downpour, which began to take effect in the evening hours in Antalya, increased in intensity during the night. Due to the heavy rainfall, water puddles formed on the roads. Citizens and vehicles had difficulty moving along the roads.
In some neighborhoods in rural areas, homes and workplaces were flooded.
Water accumulated in some underpasses in the city center. Transportation was disrupted in some regions due to the rainfall.
EDUCATION SUSPENDED IN 5 DISTRICTS
In a written statement made by the Antalya Governor's Office, it was stated that adverse weather conditions continue in the city.
The statement said, "Due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions, floods, and overflows in our province, education has been suspended for 1 day on Tuesday, 13.02.2024, in educational institutions in our 5 central districts of Aksu, Döşemealtı, Kepez, Konyaaltı, and Muratpaşa, in accordance with the Public Health Board decision. Furthermore, due to the adverse weather conditions, personnel with disabilities, pregnant employees, and those with chronic illnesses working in public institutions in our 5 central districts will be considered on administrative leave for 1 day."
