According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: the northern and eastern parts of the country are expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers in the western parts of Balıkesir, the northern and western districts of İzmir, the eastern districts of Rize, and the surroundings of Artvin; mixed rain and snow are expected in the higher elevations of Artvin and the surroundings of Ardahan, while other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear.

The precipitation is expected to be heavy in the surroundings of Artvin this evening.

AIR TEMPERATURE: It is estimated that temperatures will rise by 3 to 7°C in the Black Sea region, with no significant changes elsewhere, and will remain above seasonal norms across the country.

WIND: Generally expected to blow from the south and southwest, light to occasionally moderate, and locally strong in the Marmara region.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: Since the precipitation is expected to be in the form of heavy rain and showers on the coast of Artvin, and heavy mixed rain and snow in the inner and higher parts of Artvin during the early hours of this morning, caution and measures should be taken against negative conditions such as floods, water inundation, disruptions in transportation, icing and frost in areas expected to receive snowfall, and blizzards in the high and mountainous parts of the region.
