According to the latest forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: the country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with precipitation expected in the eastern part of the Marmara region, the Black Sea, the eastern part of the Eastern Mediterranean, the eastern part of Central Anatolia, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, the surroundings of Ankara, and the eastern part of Mersin.

The precipitation, which will generally be seen as rain and showers, and as sleet and snow in the eastern part of Central Anatolia, the inland parts of the Black Sea, and Eastern Anatolia, is expected to be locally heavy in the eastern part of Adana, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş, the coastal parts of Hatay, the northern and eastern parts of Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Bingöl.

Icing and frost are expected in the eastern parts during the morning and night hours. Patchy fog and mist are expected to occur in the western parts during the night. There is a risk of avalanches in the inland parts of the Eastern Black Sea and the northern and eastern parts of Eastern Anatolia.

Air temperatures will decrease by 2 to 5 degrees in the central and eastern parts. No significant change is expected elsewhere.

HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING

The precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the eastern part of Adana, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş, the coastal parts of Hatay, the northern and eastern parts of Southeastern Anatolia, and the surroundings of Bingöl. Caution and precautions should be taken against negative effects such as floods, waterlogging, disruptions in transportation, and blizzards in places where snow is expected, which may be caused by the heavy precipitation that is expected to be generally rain and showers, and sleet and occasionally snow at altitudes above 1000 m as temperatures drop.
