Hidden in powder: Tons of drugs found in truck entering Turkey from Iran

Ministry of Trade Customs units conducted an operation in which they inspected a truck entering Turkey from Iran and seized 2.2 tons of methamphetamine hidden within goods declared as powder.
It was stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The statement made by the Ministry of Trade included the following:
''In an operation carried out by our Ministry of Trade Customs Enforcement units, 2.2 tons of methamphetamine, which had been absorbed into powder, were seized inside goods declared as powder in a truck entering our country from Iran.
The investigation into the incident is continuing under the Doğubayazıt Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Ministry of Trade Customs Enforcement teams continue to deal heavy blows to drug traffickers as a result of their vigilance and dedicated work. Within the scope of the efforts carried out by our units, we will continue our determined fight against the poisoning of our youth by preventing the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances.''
