High-level appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette

Appointment decisions by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were published in the August 16, 2024 issue of the Official Gazette.

According to the decision, Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş was appointed as the Director General of Security, while Director General of Security Erol Ayyıldız was appointed as the Governor of Bursa.

General Commander of the Gendarmerie, General Arif Çetin, has been retired due to the age limit, effective September 1, in accordance with Article 13 of Law No. 2803. General Ali Çardakcı was appointed as the General Commander of the Gendarmerie.

Nurdan Erpulat Altuntaş was appointed as the Ambassador to Croatia.

TÜBİTAK President Hasan Mandal was appointed as the Rector of ITU.

The police chiefs of 16 provinces were removed from their posts.
