Hike in impound lot fees in Istanbul

At the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) meeting, it was decided to increase impound lot and vehicle towing fees by 18 percent.

The UKOME meeting was held at the Çırpıcı Social Facilities under the chairmanship of IMM Deputy Secretary General Gürkan Akgün.

During the meeting, a proposal by the General Directorate of the Turkish Police Organization Strengthening Foundation to revise the daily parking and towing fees for vehicles impounded and kept in custody was evaluated.

It was decided to implement an 18 percent increase in impound lot and vehicle towing fees.

In this context, it was decided that the vehicle towing fee would increase from 600 liras to 708 liras, the private transport fee for distances up to 5 kilometers would increase from 600 liras to 708 liras, and the additional kilometer fee would increase from 20 liras to 23.6 liras.

Within the scope of the proposal, it was decided to increase the daily impound lot fee schedule from 30 liras to 35.4 liras for motorcycles, from 60 liras to 70.8 liras for automobiles, from 75 liras to 88.5 liras for pickup trucks, off-road vehicles, and minibuses, from 115 liras to 135.7 liras for trucks and buses, and from 150 liras to 177 liras for construction machinery.
