Expressing his reaction to the distorted news in the media, Gökhan Özoğuz pointed out that the public should no longer fall for such manipulations.
'Dear friends,
I am sure that as a public, we have become accustomed to the distortions of the well-known media in our country. Please do not give credit to these deceptions and distortions.
You are the ones who know best who we are, what our thoughts are, and what we desire.
I hope that Mr. Ekrem and his colleagues
will return to their homes as soon as possible, along with our 299 students,
and that Rights, Law, and Justice will prevail in our country.
