A historic coffeehouse located in Maltepe, where one of the famous scenes of the TV series Kurtlar Vadisi was filmed, has been consumed by flames in a fire. While two people affected by smoke inhalation were taken to the hospital, the coffeehouse sustained extensive material damage.

The fire occurred around 09:00 in the morning at the single-story historic coffeehouse located in Yalı Neighborhood. The coffeehouse had once hosted one of the famous scenes of the Kurtlar Vadisi series.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. The fire, which started in the roof section of the coffeehouse, grew rapidly, and local citizens immediately reported the situation to police and fire crews. While police teams arriving at the scene took security measures, fire crews began efforts to bring the fire under control.

Two people who were in the upper part of the coffeehouse during the fire managed to save their lives by getting out. These individuals, who were affected by smoke, were taken to the hospital by medical teams. The fire also spread to a restaurant next to the coffeehouse, causing material damage. While the coffeehouse was heavily damaged, a partial collapse occurred in the roof.

Speaking about the fire, Mustafa Gökçen said, "The fire broke out around nine in the morning, but I don't know why it started. This is a historic coffeehouse, a coffee shop left over from the old Greeks. It is said that the fire started from the roof." Abdurrahman Bozkurt stated, "I think there were people sleeping in the coffee shop, I don't know if they did something inside. The fire broke out in the Asmalı coffee shop."
