İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport has surpassed a new threshold in its operational history. On August 2, 2026, 919 flights were operated at the airport, while 174,325 passengers were served on the same day.

With these figures, Sabiha Gökçen recorded its all-time high in both daily flight numbers and daily passenger numbers. It was stated that the increasing passenger demand was managed through the airport's operational infrastructure and coordination processes.

The new level reached at Sabiha Gökçen, which is considered among the busiest airports in Turkey and Europe, also demonstrated the growth in its flight network and passenger capacity.

It was reported that HEAŞ coordinated processes related to air traffic management, apron, runway, airfield operations, and field safety, while ISG teams simultaneously carried out work regarding passenger flow, security, cleaning, guidance, and passenger experience in the terminal.
