Holiday rush continues at Istanbul Airport

Ramadan Feast holiday was announced to be 9 days, and citizens who want to spend the holiday out of the city have been arriving at Istanbul Airport since the early hours of the morning.

Citizens who will spend the 9-day holiday outside the city caused occasional congestion at the airport.

IGA teams, the operator of Istanbul Airport, took precautions to ensure that passengers were not inconvenienced by the congestion, directing passengers at the airport entrance and in the terminal. After security checks, passengers arriving at the terminal lined up at domestic and international counters for ticket and baggage procedures. Long queues were observed, especially at domestic counters and passport control.

Stating that he would spend the holiday with his family, Fırat Mutlu said, "I work in Istanbul and I am going to Adana. I used to go there often before. I will spend time with my family and loved ones; I haven't spent the holiday with them for a while. I dedicated this holiday to them. Since I left buying the ticket to the last minute, I had trouble finding one. I think I paid a bit more than usual for the ticket price. We just finished the election process. I wish everyone a happy and peaceful holiday with their families and loved ones," he said.

Eren Altay, a university student studying in Istanbul, stated that he would spend the holiday in Mardin and said, "I hope this holiday will be good. Since I had trouble finding a ticket, I moved my return date earlier. That's why I will be able to stay in Mardin for 7 days," he said.
