Horrific collision between two semi-trucks: Drivers lose their lives

In a traffic accident that occurred around noon near the village of Alacabük on the highway between the cities of Tatvan and Van in Bitlis, two semi-trucks, whose license plates and identities have not yet been determined, collided head-on due to negligence. The vehicles caught fire immediately after the violent collision.
Upon notification by other drivers who witnessed the accident, fire, medical, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the region in a short time. The teams that reached the scene took security measures, closed the road to traffic, and intervened in the fire. The flames were brought under control and extinguished in a short time with the rapid intervention of the teams.
However, both semi-truck drivers lost their lives due to the fire in the horrific accident. In the examination conducted by emergency medical teams, it was determined that the drivers had died at the scene.
Authorities announced that cooling and cleaning efforts are continuing to restore transportation on the highway. It was reported that a comprehensive investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident and the identities of the drivers.
