Horrific incident in Batman: Worker dies after being electrocuted

Three workers who were installing an electric pole at the Çakıllı Oil Field, which belongs to the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) near Beşpınar village in the Beşiri district of Batman, were electrocuted.

Upon notification of the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

During the intervention by medical teams at the scene, it was determined that one of the workers, İrfan Demir, had lost his life.

While Demir's body was taken to the morgue of the Batman Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy, the injured workers were also taken to the same hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
