In Avcılar, a man shot and killed his wife and 3 children. He then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. The family's relatives were overcome with grief.

The incident occurred at approximately 13:22 in the Denizköşkler neighborhood of the Avcılar district. According to the information obtained, 38-year-old Velican Alıcı, who suffered a mental breakdown, shot his wife Fikriye Alıcı (35) and their children R.E.A. (12), R.A. (7), and K.C.A. (6) with a firearm.
He then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. When the family's relatives could not reach them, they came to the house. Unable to open the door, they notified the police.
DOOR OPENED WITH THE HELP OF A LOCKSMITH
The door was opened with the help of a locksmith. While police teams took security measures at the scene, medical teams determined during their initial assessment that the man, his wife, and the children had lost their lives.
