In Tekirdağ, 17-year-old A.Ç. killed his sleeping mother with a knife he took from the kitchen in the middle of the night and then attacked his father. The incident occurred around 03:00 at night on the 3rd floor of an apartment building on Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Street in the Fatih neighborhood.
STABBED HIS MOTHER IN HER SLEEP
According to allegations, 17-year-old A.Ç., who had a mental breakdown, stabbed his mother, Nilay Ç., while she was sleeping with a knife he took from the kitchen.
STABBED OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS AS WELL
A.Ç., who then injured his father, Murat Ç., also stabbed his uncle Gürcan Ç., his aunt Fatma Ç., and his grandfather Celil Ç., who lived on the floor below.
THE INJURED WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL
Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the first intervention for the injured was carried out at the scene, they were later transported to the hospital by ambulance. While the injured mother, Nilay Ç., lost her life, uncle Gürcan Ç. was taken to the Muratlı State Hospital Emergency Service, and father Murat Ç., grandfather Celil Ç., and aunt Fatma Ç. were taken to nearby hospitals.
SURRENDERED AFTER PERSUASION EFFORTS
The 17-year-old youth, A.Ç., who is alleged to have a psychological disorder, was taken into custody by police teams following persuasion efforts and was taken to the Cumhuriyet Police Station.
LEARNED THAT THE MURDERED WOMAN WAS A SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Following the examinations at the scene, the lifeless body of the mother, Nilay Ç., was sent for an autopsy. It was learned that Nilay Ç. was the principal of Muratlı Hasan Orhan Primary and Secondary School. The investigation launched into the murder and wounding case is ongoing.
