Following simultaneous operations conducted in 17 provinces as part of an investigation into the Süleymancılar community, members of the community gathered at Millet Park in Ankara.
It was stated that a large number of people, including community leader Alihan Kuriş, were detained during the operations. As part of the investigation, an operation was also carried out today at an address in the Ümraniye district of Istanbul.
It was reported that a large number of documents, which were said to be in a shredded state intended for destruction, were seized during the search at the address in Ümraniye.
The group gathered in Ankara performed prayers and prayed in the park. As the crowd grew, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the area, and the teams took security measures in and around the park.
