Hotel fire in Bursa: 7 people injured
A fire that broke out at a hotel in the Nilüfer district of Bursa has been brought under control following intensive efforts by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality fire department. Seven people affected by smoke inhalation were transported to Çekirge State Hospital, Bursa City Hospital, and Bursa Uludağ University Hospital. It was reported that the injured are in good condition.

According to the information obtained, 35 citizens who were in the hotel, which has a 48-bed capacity and consists of two sections in the Görükle neighborhood of Nilüfer district, were safely evacuated through the rapid and coordinated intervention of fire crews.
Ladder trucks and special equipment were used to reach citizens trapped on the upper floors during the fire. According to initial assessments, it is estimated that the fire started in the SPA center located on the minus-first floor of the hotel. As heavy smoke spread to the upper floors of the building, fire crews carried out fire suppression and rescue operations for the citizens inside simultaneously.
The moments of intervention and rescue, where fire crews raced against time, were captured on camera. While police teams took security measures in the surrounding area, medical teams stood ready at the scene for potential interventions.
While the investigation into the cause of the fire continues, it was learned that inspections showed the hotel was in compliance with regulations and had passed the necessary checks.
According to a statement from the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, the fire was responded to with 19 vehicles and 50 firefighting personnel. The statement noted that it was determined the fire started in the SPA section located on the minus-first (-1) floor of the hotel.
The 35 people reported to be inside the structure during the fire were successfully evacuated from the building through the efforts of the fire crews.
It was reported that 7 citizens affected by smoke were handed over to medical teams and transported to hospitals.
