Gassals working at the mortuary affiliated with the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Cemetery Department spoke about the new series 'Gassal' on TRT's digital platform, Tabii.

“I SAW OURSELVES IN THE SERIES” (Mücahit Murat): “I liked the series; I enjoyed it. I saw ourselves in the series. I put myself in that friend's shoes. He says 'Gufraneke ya Rahman' while washing the deceased. Since we have been doing this job for a very long time, we are used to it. We only feel pain when we wash our own relatives, our parents.”

“IT IS TRULY A MATTER OF CONSCIENCE” (Fatma Ardıç): “It is a matter of conscience, it is a difficult job. Since we also have a family, we are affected. People have one funeral, whereas we have how many funerals a day. We treat the deceased as if they were our own; we don't just call it a job and move on, it is truly a matter of conscience.”

“THERE ARE CHILDREN, I CANNOT DESCRIBE IT” (Emine Babuşcu): "Sometimes it is necessary to leave the work we do here and not carry it home, but of course, there are many times we get sad. Young people, sometimes the elderly can also upset us; children, for example, I cannot describe it.”
