HÜDA PAR's Dinç: Kemalism is the cause of the Kurdish issue, and its solution is in Islam
While the "Humanitarian Solution Workshop for the Kurdish Issue" organized by HÜDA PAR in Diyarbakır and the subsequent statements continue to be debated on the political agenda, a new statement from HÜDA PAR Mersin MP Faruk Dinç has drawn backlash.

Faruk Dinç, a Mersin MP for the People's Alliance partner HÜDA PAR, stated in his speech at Parliament, "The cause of the Kurdish issue is Kemalism. Its solution is in Islam."
In his speech at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Dinç targeted Kemalism. Dinç used the phrases, "The cause of the Kurdish issue is Kemalism. Its solution is in Islam." CHP MP Gülcan Kış, who reacted to Dinç, said, "You are able to speak and become an MP thanks to the Republic, but you also derive the courage to continue your hostility toward the Republic from the tolerance of the Republic itself!"
Dinç said the following:
"We said it is Islam that makes us brothers. Because we said it is Islam, some people are jumping up and down. Others are holding workshops and there is no sound; in fact, the person who raises the stakes and promises a state is slandering HÜDA PAR by hitting the keys."
We know your hostility is toward Islam. Your problem is with Islam.
The cause of the Kurdish issue is Kemalism. Its solution is in Islam. You are suggesting Kemalism, which is the poison of the solution, to us; you are trying to make us swallow this poison. Kemalism is poison. We will not swallow this poison. We will be brothers through our medicine, the noble Islam. And together, with Turks, Kurds, Arabs, and Zazas, we will live in this country as brothers. We will also settle scores in court with those who slander us."
CHP MP REACTS
Republican People's Party (CHP) Mersin MP Gülcan Kış reacted to Dinç's remarks on her social media account. Kış wrote the following:
“I strongly condemn, as a Mersin Deputy, the vile attack by Mersin Deputy Faruk Dinç on the Republic, secularism, and Atatürk in the heart of the Republic founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, in our Grand National Assembly!
Kemalism is not a poison; on the contrary, it is the mortar, the foundation, and the cement of this country! Article 66 of the Constitution is clear: 'The people of Turkey who founded the Republic of Turkey are called the Turkish nation!' The Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Zazas, Circassians, Bosniaks, and Laz of this country are equal citizens of the Republic!
The Republic has transcended ethnic divisions, bringing us all together under one roof and making us free! That roof is Mustafa Kemal Atatürk! Atatürk is the unshakeable roof that prevents your bigoted rains and stops the darkness trying to descend upon this nation!
And I am honored to represent Mersin as a female deputy in the Republic founded by Atatürk! I will stand tall against the mentality that ignores women and targets our hard-won rights!
You are trying to divide this nation by targeting the Republic and secularism! But know that the Grand National Assembly of Turkey cannot and will not be a podium for reactionism, separatism, or enemies of the Republic!
While Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms were saving this homeland from the clutches of imperialism, you and your mentality were either pursuing mandates or collaborating with the enemy! You are able to speak and be a deputy thanks to the Republic, but you derive the courage to continue your hostility toward the Republic from the tolerance of the Republic itself!
But know that we are here! We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal! We will defend the Republic, secularism, and Atatürk's legacy to the end! We will not surrender this country to the darkness of reactionism!”
