Hundreds of Tokat residents perform the 'Ellik' folk dance in Yenikapı
The Tokat Cultural Meetings event was held at the Yenikapı Event Area between December 7 and December 10. The event concluded with hundreds of Tokat residents performing the Ellik folk dance.

The Tokat Cultural Meetings, held between December 7 and December 10 at the Yenikapı Event Area with venue sponsorship from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, saw a flood of visitors from Tokat living in Istanbul over the course of 4 days.
Organized by the Confederation of All Tokat Residents (TÜMTOKKON), the Tokat Associations Federation (TOKDEF), and the Tokat Education and Culture Confederation (TEKKON), the event saw the most interest in sections where products and food brought from Tokat were sold.
HUNDREDS OF TOKAT RESIDENTS PERFORMED THE ELLIK DANCE
Avcılar Mayor Turan Hançerli and Küçükçekmece Mayor Kemal Çebi also attended the final day of the event.
Local artists from Tokat, including Aşık Ali Can, Damla Yıldırım, Zeki Demir, Rıza Polat, and Suat Polat, took the stage to perform folk songs from Tokat.
The artists and the public concluded the event by performing the local Ellik folk dance together.
