Responding to questions from veteran journalist Tuncay Mollaveisoğlu in the 12punto studio, BTP leader Hüseyin Baş made remarks about Diyanet President Ali Erbaş, stating, "He is an interesting figure. Our conservative community needs to know that all of his books are on Christianity. He has no work on Islam."

BTP leader Baş made striking statements regarding Diyanet President Ali Erbaş.
Stating, “Ali Erbaş represents everything to me except Islam,” Baş added, “Ali Erbaş is an interesting figure. Our conservative community needs to know that all of his books are on Christianity. He has no work on Islam.”
When asked by Tuncay Mollaveisoğlu, "Has he studied Christianity?", Hüseyin Baş replied, "I hope he has only studied it."
