Former Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB) Vice President Attorney Hüseyin Özbek made harsh criticisms regarding the discussions on the new opening process being conducted along the axis of the AKP-MHP alliance and the DEM Party. Evaluating the developments on the agenda through the founding philosophy of the Republic, Özbek argued that the process targets the unitary structure under the rhetoric of "peace and brotherhood."

"NOT STATE WISDOM, BUT STATE ALZHEIMER'S"

Stating that the concept of "state wisdom," which is frequently voiced in politics, has been hollowed out and used as a cover to hide the true intention, Özbek pointed out that this situation poses a threat to the nation-state structure.

Özbek expressed his reaction to the process with the following striking statements:

"With the distortion of 'state wisdom,' they want to overlook the attempt to eliminate the nation-state unitary structure by dividing the state and the country among ethnicities. There is not a shred of state wisdom here; there is state Alzheimer's!"

"NATIONAL STATE SOFTWARE IS BEING CANCELED"

Defining October 29, 1923, the date the Republic was proclaimed, as Turkey's "national software," Özbek emphasized that all institutions from the economy to law, and from the military to the judiciary, were parts of this software.

Stating that the new political process being carried out harms this structure, Özbek made the following assessment:

"October 29, 1923, was a national state software with its nation-state unitary structure, economy, law, bureaucracy, judiciary, military, legislative body, and contemporary goals. Today, however, this national software of the state is being canceled with the rhetoric of peace and brotherhood."
