As part of the investigation into social media influencers, beauty center owner Neslim Güngen and her husband İnanç Güngen have been detained. Neslim Güngen, whose assets were frozen in December 2023 as part of the investigation expanded following the arrest of Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, had previously said, "I brought Dilan Polat into the industry. I shot myself in the foot."

Officers from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch, under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, conducted an operation targeting the crimes of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "laundering assets derived from crime," "forgery of official documents," and "qualified fraud."
In an operation targeting 134 addresses across 25 provinces centered in Istanbul, teams detained several suspects, including beauty center owner and social media influencer Neslim Güngen and her husband İnanç Güngen.
The suspects were taken to the police station for processing.
'I BROUGHT DİLAN POLAT INTO THE INDUSTRY,' SHE HAD SAID
Following the arrest of Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, the investigation into influencers was expanded. The assets of Neslim Güngen, one of the names involved, had been frozen as a precautionary measure.
Following the reports about her, Neslim Güngen defended herself by saying, "Please investigate me. I have been driving a luxury vehicle since 2014 because I earned it with my own labor. My conscience is clear. If I have done anything wrong, I will answer to my state."
Furthermore, regarding Dilan Polat, she had said, "I brought Dilan Polat into the industry. I shot myself in the foot. When she asked for support, I helped her; I sold her my equipment at cost price."

Neslim Güngen was born in 1986. With a father from Gümüşhane and a mother from Çankırı, Neslim Güngen first entered the hairdressing and beauty industry at the age of 13. Becoming a mother for the first time at 19, Güngen participated in 5 years of international training starting at age 22. Güngen has been known for her makeup and beauty videos on social media platforms since 2007.
