"If anything happens to Mahir Polat, I will suspect foul play"
Actress Müjde Uzman shared a post filled with reproach on her social media account after Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, who is being held in Silivri Prison and suffers from serious health problems, was hospitalized.

IBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, who was arrested on March 23 as part of an 'anti-terror' investigation focused on the IBB, had mentioned his health problems during his statement to the police. Polat had stated, "Apart from this, I have two blocked arteries."
Mahir Polat fell ill last night and was taken to the Istanbul Mehmet Akif Ersoy Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital in Küçükçekmece. Polat, who was brought to the hospital by ambulance under the escort of gendarmerie and police teams, received initial treatment from doctors there.
. It was announced that Polat's blood pressure had risen, that he was being kept under observation for this reason, and that he would undergo an angiography after check-ups this morning. It was learned that the angiography was performed hours after Polat was taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, thousands of posts were made on social media stating that Polat, who has health issues, should be released immediately.

Uzman expressed her reproach on her X account with the following words: "Look, if anything happens to Mahir Polat (God forbid), besides the fact that it would be a terrible injustice, unfairness, and an inhumane situation, the country would be destroying someone of treasure-like value, priceless and irreplaceable, with its own hands. I would question the reasons and the motives; I would suspect foul play, and it wouldn't be hard to find it at all. Stop it, don't do this, enough is enough!"
