In Izmir, baby Ikbal was diagnosed with SMA at 18 days old. A donation campaign was held on a live broadcast in recent months to raise the money necessary for the baby's treatment. Footage on social media showed the baby's father spending the money at a nightclub. The baby's mother, H.K., stated, "I went to the prosecutor's office and initiated an investigation." A statement came from the father, Umut Kardeş. While the phrase "I am no longer in this world after this hour" in the statement drew attention, it was learned that the father had committed suicide.

In Torbalı, Izmir, footage shared on social media has become a hot topic while baby Ikbal, who was diagnosed with SMA at 18 days old, fights for her life.

In the footage, it was seen that baby Ikbal's father was spending the collected aid money while having fun at a nightclub.

500 THOUSAND TL IN DONATIONS HAD BEEN COLLECTED

In July, a donation campaign was held for baby Ikbal on a live broadcast. Nearly 500 thousand TL in donations were collected during the broadcast.

STATEMENT FROM THE MOTHER: "I WENT TO THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE AND INITIATED AN INVESTIGATION"

Baby Ikbal's mother, Hatice K., warned in the videos she released that money should absolutely not be given to the father by hand. Hatice K. said that she had been cheated on by her husband, Umut K., some time ago, and that she was later kicked out of her home and began living with her family in Adana.

Claiming that Umut K. spent the money given by hand and money from donation boxes, Hatice K. said, "I went to the prosecutor's office and initiated an investigation. I had to make a statement after this footage spread on social media.

We are currently living under difficult conditions with my family and I am a victim. Do not give money by hand to Umut K. in any way. Do not set up donation boxes and do not go to the stands.

You can only transfer to the account approved by the Governor's Office. This is already a blocked account; money goes in but does not come out. Our case is still ongoing. The only thing I want is for justice to be served," she said.

"THE DOCUMENTS I ALWAYS TOOK TO THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE ARE CLEAR"

While it was learned that the investigation into the incident is ongoing, the father, Umut Kardeş, made a statement with a video he recorded. Denying these allegations, the father said, "You all blamed me because of a photo you saw. Open the account and look, have I eaten a single penny? Or let one person say my receipt didn't arrive... The documents I always took to the Governor's Office are clear. What comes in and what goes out is obvious," he said.

LEARNED THAT HE COMMITTED SUICIDE: I AM NO LONGER IN THIS WORLD AFTER THIS HOUR

Stating that he did not kick his wife out, the father, Kardeş, said, "It hasn't been 6 months, not even 2 months there. She didn't leave because of a fight. She left with her brother, laughing normally. After that, I learned something and didn't want her to come to my house.

This also has a history. No one can repay what I have done. Those who saw what I did for my daughter, saw it. I am no longer in this world after this hour, but I do not forgive any of you." he said.

Following these statements, the father, Kardeş, shot himself in the head with a handgun inside a vehicle. The individual, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life.
