İmamoğlu: Everyone's acquired rights are in danger: 'They have violated the rights of the people'

While continuing his iftar visits, Ekrem İmamoğlu evaluated the decision to cancel his diploma from the home of a citizen he was visiting.

In a live statement, İmamoğlu said the following:

There is no democratic competition here. Why are they making us talk about these things at a Ramadan table? They have violated the rights of the people, and they have done so in a way that, so to speak, a handful of people have disregarded all the feelings of the nation.

It is being canceled unlawfully. The university has no such authority. I don't care about the cancellation of the diploma. All the rights gained by this society in this country are in danger.

There is only one legitimacy, and that is the emergence of the nation's power. There is no democratic competition.

They have violated the rights of the people! There is no backing down! Those who deserve it will win what they deserve!

The target of this action is not Ekrem, but our nation. May God protect this nation.

We will work very hard. I entrust myself to my nation. I will continue to run like a lion.

Someone at the market had said, 'They cannot cancel your diplomas; if they do, I will stand by you.' I had said that I did not want to guess the extent of their shamelessness. I am addressing that person from my market visit in Ümraniye: they have violated the rights of the people, this is not how it should be.
