Imamoğlu expresses thanks for 'Gaza motion'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu expressed his gratitude for the motion submitted to the IMM Assembly proposing that 'Gaza and Istanbul become sister cities'.

In a statement of thanks shared via his social media account, İmamoğlu used the following expressions:
I sincerely thank the assembly members who submitted the motion to the IMM Assembly for Gaza and Istanbul to become sister cities.
As the IMM, we will provide every kind of support for the recovery of Gaza, which has been razed to the ground and where nearly 70 thousand people have lost their lives.
We will support not projects for tourism and casino centers in Gaza, but a future where Palestinians can live freely and in peace.
