Imamoglu's first statement on Kılıçdaroğlu's visit: It made me happy

Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu visited Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently detained in Silivri, sparking numerous comments. Ekrem İmamoğlu, one of the parties involved in the visit, shared a statement on his social media account regarding the matter.

As the investigation into the CHP's party congress continues, every step taken within the party is being closely monitored. The latest notable development in this regard was the visit of former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held in Silivri.

While numerous behind-the-scenes details regarding what was discussed during the visit have been reported, İmamoğlu posted a statement on his social media account concerning the visit.

In his post, İmamoğlu stated the following:

The visit of our former chairman, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who served the Republican People's Party with great dedication for 13 years, with whom we achieved very valuable successes together, and with whom I have been a fellow traveler, has made me very happy.

Our country is going through perhaps the most critical period in its history. Unfortunately, during this process, a clear law of enmity is being applied to our party and our local governments, and a major siege and operation are being carried out.

Republican People's Party congresses are historic gatherings that have been at the center of our country's struggle for liberation and foundation.

All congresses of the Republican People's Party are too clean to be the subject of conspiracies carried out against our party through judicial engineering.

 I have full faith that all our party's administrators, the TBMM group, and all our organization and members will render these conspiracies void. I also sincerely and firmly believe that our Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, who has been fighting selflessly against both the March 19 coup attempt and the conspiracies against our party, and Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who led our party with great effort for years, will together demonstrate the strongest solidarity to eliminate these operations.

The most important factor that will carry the Republican People's Party, which has been the leading party in our country since the 2024 elections, to power is that our unity and solidarity remain constant and unshakable. 

 This struggle is for achieving a free, fair, and prosperous Turkey for everyone in the second century of our Republic.

Long live justice, democracy, and the unity and solidarity of our nation!
