İmamoğlu on his book containing his defense: 'Police raided the printing house, it was confiscated' - 'Everyone will see my defense, including those who impose bans'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, regarding his book containing his defense—which New Party leader Özgür Özel stated had been subject to a 'confiscation order'—said: 'Now, they have banned my book "The Nation is My Witness," which contains the defense they did not allow me to make, even before it was published. Printing houses were raided by police forces and the books were seized. I will not stop and I will not surrender!'

New Party Chairman Özgür Özel visited shopkeepers in Karamürsel Square following a meeting with industrial businesspeople in Gebze, his first stop during his Kocaeli tour.
Özel announced that a decision had been made to print Ekrem İmamoğlu's defense regarding the IMM case as a book, but that a "confiscation" order had been issued for the book while it was still in the printing stage.
Ekrem İmamoğlu also made a statement regarding the decision and used the following expressions:
"He feared the race of democracy and had my diploma cancelled.
He wanted me to be arrested and thrown into a cell.
He had my voice, my face, and my photograph banned.
He had my social media account shut down repeatedly.
It wasn't enough; he even blocked my right to defense in court.
He could not even tolerate me asking questions to the defendants.
Now, he has banned my book 'The Nation is My Witness,' which contains the defense they did not allow me to make, even before it was published.
Printing houses were raided by police forces and the books were seized.
I will not be intimidated!
I will not be silent!
I will not stop and I will not surrender!
Millions will read this book together with the nation.
Everyone will see my defense. Including those who impose bans!"
