İmamoğlu continues to share his views on current events via his social media account.

Ekrem İmamoğlu included the following statements in his latest post:

"If someone coughs in the world, Turkey gets pneumonia. I read the observations of Saadet Party Chairman Mr. Mahmut Arıkan, which remind us of our country's fragility, from his speeches at group meetings.

Instead of understanding this important problem and being aware of it to produce solutions, we are faced with a government that has closed its ears to the citizens, the markets, and in short, all important issues, and has become disconnected from its nation.

Moreover, there is a government and its apparatuses that continue to make moves that destroy the trust and morale of society.

-Cancellation of diplomas,

-Conspiracy cases and operations against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB),

-Judicial operations targeting the CHP,

-Imprisoned politicians, party leaders, and media members,

-Media outlets that are shut down or penalized,

-Opposition under pressure and threat…

While all these destroy our country's credibility and reputation, they also drive investors away without looking back.

We are experiencing the helplessness of a government that has compressed Turkey's reputation into a single photograph.

As we design the future of our country, we see that the following principles are indispensable.

A reputable foreign policy, a visionary Turkey that makes leaps in development, and a working and producing economy. An order based on fair distribution, the rule of law, and an independent judiciary based on the principle of separation of powers.

Our goal is to get rid of the current Presidential Government System, which is dragging our country to the bottom in every field.

We aim for a democratic and strong parliamentary system that prepares our youth with hope and our children with security for the future.

We will reach our goal with the support of our nation.

Because that is what the nation wants."
