Reminding of the high price hikes on basic necessities, İmamoğlu stated, "If we are experiencing the lowest inflation level of the last 44 months in a country where rents have increased by 79 percent, natural gas by 75 percent, eggs by 59 percent, fresh fruit by 50 percent, and education by 68 percent, then woe to us!"

In a statement released by Ekrem İmamoğlu's Presidential Candidate Office, İmamoğlu's criticisms regarding the government's economic policies were shared.

İmamoğlu's statement is as follows:

"The Minister of Finance says, 'inflation is at its lowest level in the last 44 months.' If we are experiencing the lowest inflation level of the last 44 months in a country where rents have increased by 79 percent, natural gas by 75 percent, eggs by 59 percent, fresh fruit by 50 percent, and education by 68 percent, then woe to us!

My dear nation, this will not continue like this. Those who could not fix what they broke in 44 months will go. Under our administration, we will write a brand new story together with re-industrialization, production, and technology policies.

First at the dinner table, and then in every area of life, we will feel prosperity and abundance. It is almost time. For everyone, everywhere, first justice, first freedom."
