İmamoğlu said, "If it will be of any use for his release, instead of doing it in installments like this, they should just put whatever they want him to say in front of him and have him sign it, so at least it serves a purpose."
Ekrem İmamoğlu stated the following via Onlar TV:
"Months ago, the Minister of 'Justice' began the blackmail in his own words, saying, 'When the time comes, Mr. Muhittin will become a confessor.'
They are threatening a seriously ill patient with his son and daughter-in-law and turning him into a slanderer!
They are carrying out an organized campaign of unbelievable lies, slander, and attacks!
They claim that millions of euros were given to me through a method called 'hawala,' which I have heard of for the first time in my life!

WHAT HAD BÖCEK SAID?
In his statement, Böcek had said, "I traveled to Istanbul by air on November 30, 2023, before my candidacy was announced, in order to meet directly with Ekrem İmamoğlu regarding my candidacy.
I held a meeting with Ekrem İmamoğlu at the Renaissance İstanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul that lasted about an hour.
He asked me for financial support of around 15 million euros. I told a friend, who held a portion of my election budget along with some of my personal money, that I needed 5 million euros.
I went to Istanbul by air on December 17, 2023, to meet with Ekrem İmamoğlu.
