İmamoğlu shares comparative report on IMM inspections: Figures from the AKP era

The report shows that a total of 147 inspections were carried out between 2014 and 2019, when the AKP governed the IMM, whereas 1,590 routine inspections and 2 general inspections were conducted between 2019 and 2025.

In the report shared by İmamoğlu's Presidential Candidacy Office account, it was noted that while 147 inspections were carried out on the IMM between 2014 and 2019, this number reached 1,590 during the CHP era.

İMAMOĞLU SHARED IT SAYING "FOR THOSE WHO HEAR AND THOSE WHO DO NOT"

The information contained in the report, which the CHP's Presidential Candidate shared with the phrase "For those who hear and those who do not," is as follows:

Regarding the Mayor: The number of investigations conducted by the Ministry of Interior and the Court of Accounts was 27 in total during the AKP era, while this number rose to 62 during the İmamoğlu era.

IMM, İSKİ, and IETT Subsidiaries: While audits conducted through the Ministry of Interior, the Court of Accounts, and the Prosecutor's Office totaled 120 during the AKP era, this figure reached 1,150 in the period between July 2019 and November 2025.

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL HAD BROUGHT IT TO THE AGENDA

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had drawn attention to this discrepancy at the "92nd [Anniversary] Defending the National Will" rally held in Bakırköy on Wednesday.

Özel stated the following regarding the issue:

"It has emerged that there was public loss, bid-rigging, erroneous purchases, and favoritism in 56 different files related to the AK Party's era; all 56 of these files were taken out of the hands of the IMM by the Minister of Interior of that time, and not a single action has been taken since that day. Let the people of Istanbul know that the AK Party era of the IMM is a period where corruption dripped from the AK Party's pant legs, with 56 major corruption files. It was covered up by the hands of the AK Party."
