İmamoğlu's 'bill' call finds response! Thousands of liras in aid collected

There has been great support for the call made by IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu. Thanks to the 'Pay-it-Forward Bill' (Askıda Fatura) project, bills totaling 936 thousand TL were paid within 15 hours with donations from thousands of contributors.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) President Ekrem İmamoğlu, the CHP's presidential candidate who was detained as part of the March 19 operations, had issued a call for the 'pay-it-forward bill' project in a post on his social media account.



In his post, İmamoğlu had used the following expressions:

"Apparently, the Pay-it-Forward Bill project is also a crime; why did we create this project, why did it make a splash globally, why did we find financial support for this project.

This is my call to the people of Istanbul; let us grow our solidarity, let everyone who has the means pay the bills of our low-income citizens."

THE PUBLIC EMBRACED THE CALL

There was great support from citizens for İmamoğlu's call.

Within a short period of 15 hours, bills totaling 936 thousand TL were paid with donations from thousands of contributors.
