IMM announces metrobus station to be closed for 45 days
The Beşyol metrobus station in Küçükçekmece will be out of service for 45 days starting February 7 due to pedestrian overpass construction work carried out by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM).

In a statement released by the IMM, it was noted that the municipality is renovating the overpass at the Beşyol metrobus station, which has reached the end of its technical lifespan and can no longer accommodate pedestrian capacity.
The statement, which noted that the Beşyol metrobus station will be temporarily closed as part of the pedestrian overpass construction, station area arrangement, and the redesign of the D-100 highway, included the following: "By decision of the Transportation and Traffic Regulation Commission, the Beşyol metrobus station will be closed for 45 days starting from February 7."
The statement further explained that a new 70-meter-long and 5-meter-wide overpass will be built as part of the project. Once the overpass is completed, the D-100 highway in the Edirne direction, the frontage road, and the metrobus lane will be shifted approximately one lane to the north for a distance of 450 meters, and the metrobus platform area will be expanded.
The statement recommended using the Sefaköy and Florya metrobus stations as alternatives to the Beşyol station.
