IMM increases scholarship amount for 'Young University Student Support' project

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has increased the non-refundable educational support provided to students under the "Young University Student Support" project from 6,000 TL to 7,500 TL for this term. Students wishing to benefit from the support can apply via IMM's "Istanbul Senin" mobile application until October 20. IMM provides educational assistance to 75,000 students within the scope of the project.

In a statement made by IMM, it was announced that the non-refundable educational support of 6,000 TL to be given to students this term under the "Young University Student Support" project has been increased to 7,500 TL. According to the statement, students who wish to benefit from the support must download the "Istanbul Senin" application and apply through it. Detailed information about the project and criteria is also available in the "Istanbul Senin" mobile application. Applications, which began on September 26, will end on October 20.

The support provided under the "Young University Student Support" project is non-refundable and interest-free. Students who wish to apply must reside in Istanbul themselves or have their family reside there, and must be studying at a state or foundation/private university with a 100% scholarship. For intermediate and final-year students, having a year-end grade point average of at least 53 out of 100 or 2.00 out of 4.00 is also among the required criteria.

The general conditions for applying to the Young University Student Support are as follows:

"Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, the student or their family/relative in case of the death of parents residing in Istanbul, being an associate, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student, an upper age limit of 30 for associate-undergraduate students, an upper age limit of 40 for graduate-doctoral students, continuing education within the normal period of study. Studying at a state university or studying at a foundation/private university with a 100% scholarship. For intermediate and final-year students, having a year-end grade point average of at least 53 out of 100 or 2.00 out of 4.00. Being in need of financial support in terms of income status."

The documents required from students who wish to benefit from the Young University Student Support are as follows:

",Criminal record certificate, certificate of no disciplinary action, family civil registry record, student certificate, transcript, 100% scholarship certificate for students studying at foundation/private schools, documents showing the family's financial situation (income certificate, payroll, etc.), photocopy of disability report of the student or family members if any, documents showing siblings who are also students if any, document proving residence in a dormitory or rented housing, document containing the student's bank account information."
