Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been arrested and sent to prison as part of a 'corruption' investigation launched against him.
The court decided that there were no grounds for arrest regarding the 'terrorism' charge, which is another investigation file concerning İmamoğlu.
Following the announcement of the decision, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was brought to the Marmara Closed Prison located in Silivri.
