An investigation has been launched by the Ministry of Trade against Vedat Milor on the grounds of 'covert advertising' for visiting an IMM-owned Kent Lokantası and publishing a video on his YouTube account. A written defense has been requested from Milor.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted to the investigation launched against Milor. Making a statement via his social media account, İmamoğlu said, "It is a pity. These restaurants are the palaces of the poor, the low-income, and the retired."

In his post, İmamoğlu used the following expressions:

"I learned that an investigation has been launched against some writers who went to the Kent Lokantası. First they mocked it, then they belittled it, and now they are dealing with those who go there. It is a pity. These restaurants are the palaces of the poor, the low-income, and the retired. More will be opened."
