Important development in CHP! Cemal Canpolat announces his candidacy

The Republican People's Party (CHP) is heading into the local elections amidst chaos. Cemal Canpolat, who is considered the strongest candidate for the Provincial Presidency, has officially announced his candidacy. It is alleged that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is supporting Özgür Çelik.

In the CHP, Cemal Canpolat has announced that he is a candidate for the CHP Istanbul Provincial Presidency. Canpolat announced that he would declare his candidacy on Wednesday, September 27.

Following Bahçelievler District Chair Özgür Çelik, former CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Cemal Canpolat has also announced his candidacy for the Istanbul Provincial Congress, which is expected to be held on October 8 in the Republican People's Party (CHP).

In a post on his social media account, Canpolat stated the following:

"On the 100th anniversary of its founding, I am a candidate for the Istanbul Provincial Presidency of this 100-year-old plane tree. We succeeded in the past! We said NO to this regime in Istanbul. We will succeed again. Come, let us write our great story together... I look forward to seeing all my fellow travelers at our Istanbul Provincial headquarters on Wednesday, September 27, at 18:00."


WHO IS CEMAL CANPOLAT?

He was born in 1962 in the Doğanşehir district of Malatya.

He completed his primary and high school education in Malatya. He served as a union representative in the tourism sector in Istanbul. In active politics, he served as the SHP Küçükçekmece District Chair for 3 terms. With the return of the CHP to political life, he served as Provincial Education Secretary, Deputy Provincial Chair, and for a short time as Provincial Chair and Party Assembly Member.

During the same period, Canpolat, who served as a founding member in Sinop, Artvin, and many Rumelian associations and foundations, also held positions as a founding member, manager, and president in Alevi-Bektashi associations and foundations.

He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Publication Coordinator for Cem Magazine.

Canpolat has also written six books. Canpolat is the author of the works titled "Execution and Exile Edicts Regarding Alevis in Ottoman Documents" (second expanded edition), "Confrontation," "The Reality That Forms the Spiritual Foundation of the Ottomans," "Sheikh Bedreddin," "Iriş Dede Sultan," and "Sarı Saltuk."

Canpolat, who was elected Provincial Chair at the 35th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress, is married and a father of one child.
