In Ankara, Emre Ö. put his wife, whom he was in the process of divorcing due to severe incompatibility, through a nightmare.

The man, who came to the front of the house where his wife lived, grabbed 23-year-old Kader Ö. by the hair as she tried to run away in fear and dragged her between two vehicles in a side street. He beat the young woman and showered her with threats, saying, "I will kill you."

The husband, who tortured his wife during the divorce process, attempted a sexual assault by placing a sound flare he had brought with him against the young woman's chest.

During this time, he broke a liquor bottle found on the ground and inflicted cuts on the woman's arms and legs with the glass shards.

The young woman, who managed to escape from Emre Ö. as he shouted, "I will make you like Bergen," stopped passing vehicles. Upon the notification of the drivers, an ambulance was dispatched to the scene. Kader Ö., who was taken to the hospital, filed a complaint against her husband after her treatment.

Emre Ö. said, "I did not commit any act against Kader. The sound flare that Kader handed over was in the vehicle's glove compartment; I do not accept the accusations against me."

SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGE

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment against Emre Ö. seeking up to 23 years in prison for the crimes of 'deprivation of liberty' and 'insult,' and no less than 18 years for the crime of 'qualified sexual assault.'

In the indictment, it was noted that Emre Ö.'s defenses were aimed at evading the crime, that he held her by the hair and dragged her between two vehicles to prevent Kader Ö. from escaping, detained her for sexual purposes, and continued his actions after ensuring that no one would see.

In the Council of Forensic Medicine report included in the indictment, it was recorded that there were extensive cuts on Kader Ö.'s body, and bruises indicating signs of battery were found on her chest and back.
